About
Marcia

Among others, I am the Founder and CEO of TheBoardroom Africa (TBR Africa), the largest regional network of board-ready female executives across Africa and the diaspora. Founded in 2016, TBR Africa’s mission is to accelerate the appointment of women on boards and build a growing pipeline of board-ready women while inspiring and educating the business community on the power of diverse leadership.

"Through my work at TBR Africa, I'm cultivating innovative approaches to corporate governance, leadership, and gender diversity and transforming the presence and influence of African women on a global stage."

I truly believe that solutions to complex global problems will emerge when leaders prioritize the inclusion of women, especially women of colour, and make them key voices in global discourse.

In recognition of my work in these areas, I was named among the 100 Most Influential Africans by the NewAfrican Magazine in 2019, and in 2022, was named in the 100 under 40 edition of the Most Influential People of African Descent.

FOLLOW ME

I'm passionate about the inclusion of women (especially African and women of colour) in leadership spaces. And I seek to build communities of influence to address these gaps in leadership by leading conversations, catalyzing change and connecting voices.  I write regularly and provide insights on corporate governance, leadership, and diversity, and interrogate the role African women play in addressing some of the world's most thorny challenges.
